I started my photography business in 2014, and within a few years, I was traveling the world photographing weddings, elopements, meeting incredible people, and building a career I never could've imagined. But somewhere along the way, I got a little lost in it all.
After years of chasing success, I found myself pretty burned out, questioning what I was doing and why I was doing it in the first place. I'd spent so much time building a business that I'd kind of forgotten what made me fall in love with creating.
Life was changing pretty dramatically, too. I became a dad, lost my mom, and somewhere between experiencing a whole new kind of love and a whole new kind of grief, my perspective on life shifted.
I started paying more attention to the little things. The way people love each other, the ordinary moments we take for granted, and how quickly life moves. I think those experiences gave me a much deeper appreciation for the privilege of documenting people's lives.
And ultimately, they brought me back to myself.
These days, it's pretty simple. I just want to make really cool, inspiring work with people who inspire me. I want to create space for people to be completely themselves, make something beautiful together, and have a damn good time doing it. Because at the end of the day, the people and moments we share this life with are kind of everything.
Outside of photography...
I'm a dad, musician, hopeless romantic, and a big fan of making an occasion out of absolutely nothing.
I love being outside, creating music, cooking elaborate meals, yoga, wellness, and the never-ending adventure of figuring myself out.
Give me good music, good food, a long conversation, a room full of people I love, or an excuse to go somewhere beautiful, and I'm a happy guy.
I'm still figuring a lot of things out, but I'm pretty convinced that life is meant to be lived fully, felt deeply, and shared with people you love.
Working with Cody was one of the absolute highlights of our wedding journey. He somehow captured every emotion, laugh, and in-between moment so beautifully. His loose editorial, photojournalistic style made every image feel alive, and most of the time we didn’t even know we were being photographed.
But what truly sets Cody apart is who he is. He made us feel comfortable, seen, and understood, bringing calm, joy, and good energy to every part of the day. Our photos don’t just look stunning—they feel like us. We’ll cherish them forever.
