There are venues I love.
And then there are the ones that feel like a homecoming.
Riverwood Mansion is that for me.
I’ve photographed a lot of weddings here, and every time I pull into that drive, my body just settles. The light. The gardens. The way the house holds people. It always feels grounded.
Chelsea and Zak’s Riverwood Mansion wedding had one defining energy:
Unapologetic happiness.
No rush.
No frantic timeline.
No performative moments.
They moved slow through the day. They lingered in conversations. They let the ceremony breathe. They walked the gardens without looking at a clock.
And because of that, everything felt real.
When couples give themselves space, the photos change. They stop looking posed and start feeling lived-in. That’s what this day was — present, open, connected.
Riverwood Mansion in Nashville is already beautiful. But when the energy is calm and joyful like this, it becomes something else. It feels like home.
Chelsea and Zak didn’t try to manufacture a perfect wedding day.
They just enjoyed it.
And that’s always where the magic is.
